In 2006, D-DENT was honored with the prestigious Blue Cross Blue Shield CHAMPION OF SENIOR HEALTH award. The value of good dental care for the elderly and disabled is demonstrated everyday by volunteer dentists who are addressing the health care needs of an underserved population.
Since 1986, D-DENT volunteers have provided dental care to more than 9,000 impoverished elderly and disabled persons through more than 28,000 dental visits. More than $5 million in services has been donated to this life saving program.
